Youth Against Homelessness

A group of young people from Leamington were awarded funding to support their “Youth Against Homelessness” project; raising awareness around homelessness.

The group attended the Leamington Peace Festival to promote their initiative and also collect feedback from the public on their views on the rise of homelessness.

Alongside raising awareness, the aims of the project included:

Being visible in tackling the problem of homelessness; demonstrating a solidarity

Speaking to homeless organisations (e.g. the Leamington Night Shelter)

Participating in the sponsored Sleep-out with Helping Hands; a charity dedicated to giving support and opportunities to local people in need.
