Summer Beatz Project

The Summer Beatz project, based at LAMP, an alternative education setting in Leamington, was awarded funding from Warwickshire Crimebeat. The project was set up to help young people who were supported either 1:1 or during open access youth work.

The aims of the project included:

• Altering the thinking of young people
• Educating young people on the influence of media in advertising
• Educating young people about how females can be treated so negatively
• Encourage an atmosphere of equality to foster a change in mind set

The outcome of the project was to create positive music about what they had learnt.
